John Frank Ogolini, 87, of Dowell, passed away at 1:36 A.M., Sunday, April 3, 2005 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion.
John was owner and operator of Veterans Inn in Dowell for sixty years.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin and the Dowell American Legion.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II.
He was born May 13, 1917 at Royalton, IL, the son of Julius and Cesira (Zanarini) Ogolini.
He is survived by one brother - Guido Ogolini of Dowell, one sister - Rose Moore of Pinckneyville, one brother-in-law - Pete Perona of Christopher and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister - Olympia Perona.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin with Msgr. Harry Jerome officiating.
Friends may call from 8:30 A.M. until 9:30 A.M., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Sacred Heart School and will be accepted at the funeral home.
